Requesting a 35% Tint all around pic..

I also have a question.. is 35% dark enough to not totally see into the car, but just see a silouette (sp?). What % reflectivity do I need so you can't totally see through the windows? I'm thinking about getting smoked tint. Does anyone have pictures?

I'm curious too. I'm getting 35% charcoal all around on Sep 13. I'll be in Colorado for business/personal and taking my car there. I gotta a guy who has tinted all my cars, my friends and family for 10 years! Saving me a ton of cash and does the best tinting I have ever seen!

I gotta do 35% here in Minnesota. Actually, legally anything less than 50% is illegal, but 35% is light enough to keep me out of trouble.

OK this isn't all around 35% but it's a good feel for what 35% and 20% look like

The color if the interior of the car makes a difference too. So if you have ebony interior it will look darker.

Yield!! Send me pics of your car!! I am trying to get my OEM wheels chromed out and with the tint!

The one in your gallery is cut off for some reason. You can send pics to CJITTY@hotmail.com or repost here so we can see more tint shots at the same time. That way, we can stick to the original topic..tint

Cmon now..I'm in MN and I have 20%. IMO 35 is way too light. I like people not able to see in. Sometimes I think 20 is light too though.

35% is light...you'll be able to see in at day and night. 20% will let you been seen during the day but at night, you wont.

If you are going for the "dark enough to not totally see into the car" look, go with 20%. If you want a tint that is not noticeable at all, then go with 35%.

I have 18 reflective tint on all besides the windshield and it looks great. especially on a WDP. I am wishing I had gone lower, maybe to 10. The people before me got 18 in the back and 35 in the front to stay legal. i went to a different place and he matched my two windows for a hundred, no questions asked.

get 35% on the sides but get 20% in the back. That's what I have and I love it. 35% the cops don't bother you. I've had my plates ran and cops look right at me. I think the fact that you can see in sorta doesn't make them bother you. I like the 20% in the back because it's darker and it lets less heat in.

Personally, i feel it is a waste to put 35% all the way around because most of the time you can see right through the windows anyway( what is the point of tinting the windows then) i live in brooklyn where 70% is the only legal tint.... i have 5% all around and 2% on the back window because i like no one to see in at all.... to be honest 20% will do the job if you have a dark color interior and if your worried about them being too dark many people do 35% on the front windows and 20% on the back.... many people dont like the tints not to match but it does the job....

35 IS REALLY LITE SPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A LITE INTERIOR. I HAVE 35 ALL AROUND AND BLACK INTERIOR ON MY 2003 TL-S. REASON WHY, JUST BECAUSE I ALREADY HAVE A MAGNET TO ATTRACT COPS AND DIDN'T WANT TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER REASON TO PULL ME OVER. THE LEGAL HERE IS 35% BUT IN MY OPINION IS NOT DARK ENOUGH. I THINK 20 OR BELOW IS REALLY COOL.

I have 35% as well because as SROBS mentioned thats the legal limit in MA. I thik next car I tint will get a 20% because you can still see inside but I think it looks better.

Sid,

I'm totally in agreement with you. I want 35% now because on my other car that had 20% on the sides and 5% on the back, I got straight jacked by the cops and had to come off a $105 fine and had to remove the tint. I really ain't trying to deal with the hassle anymore ya dig. Especially a brotha like me living in a uppity type suburb. I got stopped coming out of my garage one time because "I fit the description" What kind of junk is that?

So, like I said, don't need the hassle. I'm already illegal getting 35%. If they pull me over and measure with the tint meter, it will read out 29%. Stock tint is 6% of light blocked and actual tint film will be 35% blocked. 35-6=29%=another ticket. Ya dig?

Yes, our stock tint is roughly 6% blocked, or 94% light allowed in.

Sounds like racial profiling to me. Sorry to hear you have to endure that crap. I might suggest you also check out Formula One 28%. That is a real nice tint and not too dark but still looks pimp. I see where you're comin from.
