I am looking for a reputable shop in the Portland, Oregon area
(preferably East side if possible) to do the the timing belt, water pump, etc. service - I already have all the parts except for the serpentine belt tensioner
which I was told is not absolutely necessary.

Recommendations anyone?

Do it yourself. There are plenty of resources on this forum and plenty of people willing to help. If it touches the timing belt...replace it. Don't try and save a few bucks on this one. I know you said serpentine belt tensioner, but I just want to make sure that you replace all parts associated with the timing belt.
