Replacing steering wheel

My steering wheel is quite worn. I really would like to replace it with a burlwood one. Where is the cheapest place to get one? How hard would it be to install it? Has anyone done this?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

See if you can get one from the forum from any other members selling theirs since they might have upgraded to the wood wheel. As far as install, the directions are posted on the Ray Laks site. Install is not hard, you just need a special tool called steering wheel puller, to properly take out the steering wheel off the shaft. Just follow those directions carefully and poroperly and you will be fine.

Pay special care and attention to disconnecting the battery and waiting the specified time it says in those directions, if you dont do this, you rise of having your air bag light come on, which means you will have to take a trip to the dealer to reset the light. And no its not warrantable and you will be charged, from what I hear, its a ridiculous fee.

i paid $60 to have mine installed.

less than an hour (30 mins really), but got charged full price.

borrow the steering wheel puller from autozone or somewhere.

Yeah, I am looking for the wood one. Thanks for the install advice however, if it is just 60 bucks to have it installed, I am very inclined to do that, seeing as how I do not want to mess too much with the whole air bag system. Seems risky to me. So anyone out there know where I can get one of these wheels?

Yeah exotic has a core exchange program. I forgot all about that, but if you send back your original steering wheel, I believe you get a $50 credit.

air bag removal isn't anything to worry about.

just disconnect the battery wait 15mins and then unplug the airbag.

unscrew airbag from wheel and remove wheel.

reverse.
