Replacing Seats, Incountered issue, NEED HELP!
So i bought two cars, one 2002 Acura 3.2TL which is badly hit, and a 2003 Acura 3.2TL Type S which was stripped, no seats, door panels, headlights. What i did was swap all the seats and door panels from the 02 to the 03. Passenger seat fit and hooked up without a hitch, all controls work for it. When i got to the driver seat i noticed that the wire harness plug is different on the 03. What i did to correct the problem is bought a new wire harness with the right plug to replace with the 02 seat that im using, it connected without problems. So i put the seat in and to my surprise none of the adjustment controls work. I know the seat worked in the 02 TL because i moved it forward to make it easier to remove. i first thought that it may be the fuses but i checked them all and they're fine. I know that there is a unit on the bottom of the seat called a M.S.C. unit. Im not sure what it stands for but i checked with Acura and they are the same part number for both cars. Im now wordering if it has some kind of antitheft built into it which would require acura to program the car so that it recognizes the seat. im not sure just starting to guess, can anyone help?
why not take the engine out of the type S and put it in the base instead? a whole lot easier and quicker than doing it the other way around.
the plugs dont match because the typ-s has different features than the tl-p

i think he said that the 02 was hit pretty bad. might not be worth fixing...
start by checking for power through the harness so you kno that power is going to the seat. just beacause you have a tl-p harness doenst mean the pin set is the same as the tl-s. your going to need a schematic for the tl-p and the tl-s to see what wire goes where so if its not the same you can just change the pins around and make it work. there are no anti theft devices on the seat that need to be programmed.
