Well it kinda sounds like they are warped. You may want to try contacting Rotora and see if you can work something out with them

The Nuke: It's highly possible that your Rotors are warped because you or other mechanics don't use a torque wrench to properly tighten your lugnuts. Some mechanics use a torque stick on a airgun to tighten to 80lb/ft but those are pretty inaccurate. It best to purchase a torque wrench and do them yourself after every job that removes you rims.

Also I have never bedded in my pads on my TL. Currently using Rotora's and Akebono Ceremics. Just went easy on them for 500-600 miles and didn't do the aggressive bed-in procedures. So far I have 12k on those rotors and they are still warp-free.

Well, I finally gave in and ordered another set of Rotora slotted fronts and ebc pads. I'm changing them out right now.

This time I'll be torquing to 80 ft/lb exactly.

Does anyone know if the shims that come attached to the EBC pads are good enough, or if something else is needed over the top? Right now my caliper will be pressing right against the metal piece that comes attached to the EBC pads. There wasn't a "factory" shim or anything attached to the old pads when I bought the car.

I'll keep you posted.

Yeah I think you should be fine with the EBC shim. I actually had to take one of the factory shims out and did not use the EBC shim because they would not fit with all the shims in place. At least for me and didn't look like we did anything wrong.

My Rotora slotted fronts went warped and I bought new Rotora to replace them. No brake shops will turn slotted rotors. Read thread below :

I have Rotoras and EBC's they squeak when the rotors are cold, but once they get hot they work fine,I babied the rotors for the fir 400 miles like fsttyms1 said and they've been fine and I live in L.A. where people drive like morons and cut into lanes without lookin so I slam my brakes pretty often......small price to pay for performance they also smell like ass when I brake hard suck in those performance fumes
