replacing piaa 1700x bulb
I just ordered a replacement lens+bulb. Does anybody know what equipment I'll need and how to replace the bulb? Thanks.

the lens is the bulb!
piaa 1700 plasma blue? self contained bulb/lens housing with 2 prong connector on the back . you'll need the little alan/hex screw that came with the lights to remove the 2 hex screws on either side of the chrome housing. or find one that fits, chrome housing comes off, plug and play. make sure you dont push the wires that connect to the bulb/lens back through the reflector when you reconnect, you will see it. there are 4 rectangular rubber grommets that steady the light within the light housing, these rubber grommets go on the plastic tabs that stick out the front of the housing. if when you reconnect and you feel the lens is not flush or moves a bit after you have tightened the housing, no good! water will get in! reopen and wrap some electrical tape around the 4 plastic tabs, put the grommets back on over the tape for a tight fit so the rubber grommets help the lens become flush to the housing.
