its not that hard did it in my wifes 2000tlp a couple of months ago. And no you do not have to remove the bumper like some have stated. move the resevoir out of the way & it will give you enough room to replace that bulb. Do not touch the glass portion of bulbs.

1. Remove the radiator reserve tank. (driver's side only)
2. Remove the electrical connector from the bulb by squeezing the connector to unlock the tab, then slide the connector off the bulb.
3. Remove the bulb by turning it approx 1/4 turn CCW
4. Insert new bulb into the hole and turn 1/4 CW to lock it in place.
5. Push electrical connector back onto the bulb. Make sure it's on all the way.
Remember not to touch the bulb with bare hands. If you do, clean with denatured alcohol.

you must first have a little star stool for the screw holding the HID bulb in place. And removing the radiator resevour tank is not neccesary. But on the passenger side, you might wanna unscrew (10 or 12mm bolt) to move the winshield wiper aside.
other than this, MIKE_PA is correct on the rest.
Dealership will do for free but nobody wants to drive there...bad experiences
