Replace my TLS?

Hey Guys,

I've been toying with the idea of replacing my TL-S. Don't flame me . I just feel that I would like something a little more of a european style. The main competitors are the BMW 330i auto and the A4 3.0 Quatro 6 speed. Now that I've seen the G35 I think I may be adding it to the list, I'll need more info though.

Just wondering if anyone has any input.

Thanks

IMO, get the 330ci. With a bodykit that car is freaking gorgeous plus it's fast and handles like it's on rails!:wow:

I don't like the exterior of the G35 and I heard the interior is not all that either. And someone just said that the power off the line is lacking for a car that has 260 hp and 260 lb ft too.

A4 is nice but it is underpowered.

Of the group you mentioned, the 330i is hands down the best performer but the G35 coupe has TLS like performance but with slightly better handling & braking. IMO the G35 may be the best value though. This is assuming that the G35 turns out to be a reliable model but since this is a new design, 1st year model, it may have some 1st year new design issues. Only time will tell.

Unless you are filthy rich, i'm guessing there is something wrong with your TL and you want out. Yes, BMW and Audis look fantastic. I got rid of my TLS a couple of months ago and was looking at these as well. If you want trouble free cars, then stay away from them (my father-in-law has a 325, a 530 and a mercedes sl430 and all of them are costing him a lot to maintain). I also drove the BMW 3 series and it was rediculously small. You have to buy a package to get acenter console on the 325???? And I just love moving my seats manually on a $30,000 car. I'm not even sure the damn steering wheel comes with it unless you buy one of the poackages. Neither car impressed me that much other than their great looks. I was in a friend's Audi, and it's just like a BMW. Of all the ones you listed, G35 may be the best option, but I would wait until the prices start coming down on them.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Not that the TLS is a bad car...heck its a great car, but just not my type of vehicle. I drove the 2002 A4 3.0 Quattro. Its gorgeous inside and outside but as mentioned....after driving the TLS it feels like it does not move at ALL!

Besides the A4 has the worlds most crappiest shifter with about 12 feet of play between the gears...arrgh The transmission pretty much sucks...nowhere near the perfect precision of the RSX or CLS 6 spd. so beware! S4 has this same problem so I'm going to pass on any Audi.

Because of that shifter the Audi is just NOT an enjoyable car to drive.

I really enjoy the 330i/330ci but they're so insanely expensive I am contemplating BMW via the European delivery.... I guess I'll be waiting till Nov. to see the G35 sport coupe then make a decision.

I'm also thinking of trading my TL-S. I love the car but find that because of changing life styles I'm only putting 6000 miles per year on the car and my wife only puts about 4500 on her 2002 SUV. I always wanted a Mercedes and am thinking of getting a used 97 or 98 MB E320.
