Replace or modify driver's seat foam cushion . . .

I've been thinking of improving my seat. The passenger seat is, no surprise, firm.
The 10 year old drivers seat back cushion has lost it's mojo around the lumbar region,
and the seat bottom has lost support a little forward of the rear.

As the seat-back warmer is out, I'd planned on doing an exploratory. One could add 1/4" dense foam,
layered, built up, fastened with contact cement, after affecting heater element repair.
And do the same with the seat bottom, I suppose.

Has anyone bought stock cushions for replacement? They do seem rather pricy.
Maybe the best way to go about it, but shouldn't the foam sheeting work the same?

strip the cover and heat mat off the seat

take it to an auto upholstry shop and sit in the seat- show them exactly where you want more padding and they will redo as needed,,maybe all new foam, or just some extra layers with memory foam,,or a sacral cutout for those with back pain issues...

got to take my bike seat in for some modding with all new foam
Its not much,, and way less than new cruddy ones

Some memory foam in your drivers seat would be so nice. I never even thought about that.
