Question Removing tint

I bought my new car, well used, 2001 Acura TL. The tint in the mirrior had melted and slipped out of the mirror on my shifter. You know where the gears are, P, N, R and all that. What do I use to remove the tint? I've tried Goon Gone and it worked a little, I know it's gonna be stained but I want the tint off.

you have a serious problem- stop touching that stuff right now! HAZMAT!!!!!!!!!!
see the threads on subject and ck the special section on detailing for help

you want to remove/replace the mirror for sure! ck out DIY section for tips on removing the stuff- its hazardous!! no kidding- bad news-
they don't even use the same mix on the newer mirrors

You can get a replacement `auto tinting` mirror from acura dealer- its a new manufacture, a few of our sponsoring dealers cut us a deal under 100 bucks- list price about 140, see the Black Market Sponsored Sales threads

or if you have tinted film on the rear window- the acura mirror is useless to you= wont react to headlights from behind at night
so any small mirror you can glue to the front glass is fine
