My kid stored a golf ball in the ashtray/storage door in the rear of the center console. It sounds like it's loose in the center console. I can hear it bounce around when i turn.
Is removing the door the only way to access this area?

Now, i'm not for sure it's the golf ball i hear. It's what I'm guessing. LMK if it could be something else.

I just want access to check it out.

is the door stuck closed? im not sure if you can get to it from the bottom side or not. but you could pull up on the 2 wood (center console pieces) and rempve them. remove the (6 i believe) screws and then remove the 2 screws under the little carpet piece in the bottom ov the console. you will need to slide the whole thing to the rear of the car (about 2-3 inches) and unclip the wire for the center power plug then you can remove the whole thing.

the door is not stuck. i was hoping that would be the easy way in. the only part that worries me is taking off the wood pieces. what are the chances i'll break something? and what is the easiest way to remove the wood pieces?

the wood pieces are ez. just open the center console and grap the wood from in there and pull staight up then pull it straight back away from the dash

Does anyone have the DIY that posted before on removing the center console? The wood peices on the side of the center console, how do you remove them?
