removing headlight housing
in case any of you guys saw my earlier post about moisture in my headlight housing...it still hasn't gone away. I can't take the car to the dealer because they say i have to be at least 18 (i'm 16) and my parents are always working and when they are home, they are too lazy to take the car to the dealer. I was wondering if there is any way to remove the headlight housing, so i could dry the water off and reseal the headlamps myself. thanks in advance

did u try removing the lamp and getting a hair dryer and evaporating the moisture....its only a quick fix but then after u do that just spray down the housing with some water repealent where ever there maybe a leak.

Use a heat gun... best method. Ive heard the oven works too.
You have to use a sh*tload of silicone! Patience and determination!!!
If you want to be safe, dedicate a full day to doing this and I guarantee the next day there will be no condensation.

i think im going to go search for "clearing headlight" threads because i have no idea how to actually remove the lamp or the housing. And for the silicone sealant, do i just put that around the black rubber that sits between the hood and the housing? Another question too, where do i spray the water repelant stuff, inside the housing?
