removing chrome emblems on trunk lid
Hey, I was wondering how you guys removed the "Acura" and "3.2TL" from the trunk lid? Did you do it yourself? Did the dealership do it for you?....if so: was it covered under warranty or did you have to pay? Thanks.

Its not that easy.... i used the blow dryer and a old credit card... and i was rubbing forever to get off the glue stuff and if u look carefully u can still see a little 3.2 tl thing.... and i rubbed it with everything de-greaser windex.. car wash wd-40.... but its still there a little....

Hey Jax for the mark that is left from the residue that sits there while the emblem was there I used some good old meguir's cleaner wax and rubbed it out. I was going to try some bathroom cleaner that removes lime and hard water deposits if that didn't work but it worked fine for me.
I used fishing line to remove the emblem. It comes off real easy. In places that are cold, you might have to use the blow dryer.
Used the Goo-gone, which you can pickup at any craft store. Still had some glue residue which I removed by detail claying it.
I like the dental floss idea. Seems safer.

I just did it yesterday and my car is a 99 i used a credit card and it was hot out, so it cut through the glue like it was butter. Then i used some 3M liquid wax and viola, it's all gone now. No markings or anything.
