removing chrome emblems on trunk lid

Hey, I was wondering how you guys removed the "Acura" and "3.2TL" from the trunk lid? Did you do it yourself? Did the dealership do it for you?....if so: was it covered under warranty or did you have to pay? Thanks.

what u do is you use a blow dryer to melt down the glue thats holding the emblem and then use ur fingernails to remove it. and rub off the excess glue with ur hands

Hey Jax for the mark that is left from the residue that sits there while the emblem was there I used some good old meguir's cleaner wax and rubbed it out. I was going to try some bathroom cleaner that removes lime and hard water deposits if that didn't work but it worked fine for me.

I used fishing line to remove the emblem. It comes off real easy. In places that are cold, you might have to use the blow dryer.

Used the Goo-gone, which you can pickup at any craft store. Still had some glue residue which I removed by detail claying it.

I like the dental floss idea. Seems safer.

I just did it yesterday and my car is a 99 i used a credit card and it was hot out, so it cut through the glue like it was butter. Then i used some 3M liquid wax and viola, it's all gone now. No markings or anything.
