Removing the Blackwood Trim
I searched and can't find a DIY for removing the blackwood trim from the center console and the front and back doors. If there is one I really appreciate it.
If not can some head me in the right direction...
Thanks

I would love to know as well! Im not a big fan of the black wood!! I did a search as well long time back and found somwhere that the door trim is held together by clips, and to get it out you gotta remove the door pannel and push it from behind I think. The center console im not sure.

the center console you open the lid and pull up and then back, its a little hard at first but then it pops off. as far as the doors thats harder. you have to take the door panel off then there are acouple tabs you need to use a soldier gun to remove the melted over plastic.

Guys the center pieces are very easy. Go to the instal instructions for a radio and it will explain what to do. Open up the storage compartment and pull them up and then to the rear of the car they should unclip.
As far as the doors, I think the wood is actually a part of the door panel . I do not know if you can detach them with clips... These pieces might be built into the panel itself. I looked at the DIY for removing the doorpanels, there are only pictures so take a look. It looks like you can remove the wood but the clips might break, that is what I got from the picture that shows the wood being removed from the panel.
NOW!!!! if anyone can get the doors and center pieces off I WILL BUY THEM and give you my OEM wood pieces which are in great condition. !!!! What do you guys want to replace the blackwood with???? GOOD LUCK!

u dont have to unscrew anything to get the center console pieces off. just open the console and pop it up and thats pretty much it. for the doors, u have to remove the door panel and break the little clips or w/e it is thats holding the wood. to put oit back on u probably have to use sheet metal screws.
