removed resonator box....
so i finally decided to take off my resonator box today. i was not about to take it out myself so i went to my mechanic. it took him about 20mins and all it costed me was a little bottle of Appleton rum.. so it wasnt that bad of a deal...
anyways he removed the box for me and well vtech is a little louder... but not by that much.. the car seems to drive the same which is what i was expecting so thats a good thing.. the only thing on my mind right now is whether or not its worth getting a K&N drop in filter or just leaving the paper stuff that the dealership will use. im pretty sure that the k&n will help but not sure if its gonna do much.. any suggestions would be great!!

vtech? that has to be the most annoying thing i have ever read. its vtec.
anyway, congrats on ur new mod. make sure to put either a K&N or comptech drop in filter in cuz ur stock one will get dirty pretty quick. actually you should just ditch the stock assembly and go with a CAI or if u don't wanna spend that much get a short ram. a short ram will run you about as much as a drop in filter if you get it used.

yo how's it goin. congrats on removing ur resonator box (well, congrats to your mechanic
)....i say put a K&N in. i think it'll be louder than the stock filter, more air passes thru. You'll definitely get better gas mileage though. So i say you get one. I could sell you mine if you want really cheap
i got an intake so my 6 month old filter is just sitting there. hope this helps -shawn
