Removed drivers seat...now not working.

Well, as the title says, I removed my drivers side seat to get the bottom part off and send out to a fabric shop so that they could put a new leather piece in.

It looks good, by the way...

But when I got it back and installed the lower seat to the frame, then installed it into the car, it didn't move...AT ALL !!

I took the seat out and made double sure and triple sure that I didn't leave anything disconnected. I didn't.

I looked up a pin out test for the switches...going forward and back....up, down and what not. I got power coming to the switches, and power going out to the power seat module....but no movement.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I don't think removing a sea and re-installing it should break it.

Let me know what you guys think...need some help on this one.

Ok...i got the seat to work !!

Turns out that the 3 connectors on the side of the seat for the forward/back up/down and recline are all the same. When i removed the seat bottom, i removed the pigtail from the recline motor. After a week at the fabric shop, i had forgotten where it went. And it didn't help that the wire harness ON the recline motor is BLUE, and the connector for the recline BUTTON is BLUE as well. I had the connectors on backwards.

After switching them out, it all works fine.

I did the same thing also. Pretty horrible design, but at least nothing blows up when you do it on accident.

You see the blue connector? Well, the connector going to the recline switch on the side if the seat is blue as well, so common since dictates that a blue female plug should go in a blue male connector.

Not so with this car. The white connector goes into the blue connector for the recline motor. If you get them backwards, nothing will work.

I might have to check this on mine. My driver's power recline hasn't worked in the almost 4 years I've had my car. Luckily, it's stuck in a comfortable position.
