Question Removal of badging

Okay, I screwed up and didn't get them to remove the dealer badging before I drove away. Now, is this something I can do myself? It's a metallic badge on the rear (in the shape of Texas, like another poster's). The badging is about 3 months old. The body color is Anthracite (medium gray).

I saw someone mentioned using WD-40. How best to apply it? Do I use a piece of plastic and gently, but firmly pry it, add some oil, pry more, add more oil, etc.? Would heat help? Any tips? Or am I just stuck with it???

TIA,
D. Smith :flamer:

I used to use a hair dryer on the emblem until the glue got sticky and then just pealed it off. To get the remianing glue off I used Bug and Tar remover and waxed the hell out of it afterwards.

Use a dental floss to floss out the sticker from the paint after the hair dryer process

Thanks for the info! ... and with ordinary household items ...
I'll use the waxed floss too, just in case :-)

I hate to say it but your paint probably has faded by now so, yes, it will show a difference.
