Remote frob w/trunk release

This is probably redundant information, but the trunk can't be released with the fob if it's still in the ignition. I happened to notice when I was trying to pop the trunk with the second fob and nothing happened. I also tried with the fob still in the ignition. Apparently there's a safety feature that disables fob trunk opening.

I wonder if the trunk release button on the driver side door is disable also, when the car is in motion...

My apology on "frob" rather than "fob". My experience with Mr. Frob is that he easily opens the trunk (trunk release) if he is in contact with "certain frequencies". He claims to be in contact with "others" and can effect the change. I suspect he is rubbing his feet along the pet mat and discharging static electricity. He has, however, made the beagle's coat stand on end.
