Holy crap you guys still have BP??? I haven't seen that since I was 8 years old around here. Neway... the TL is a very special car, why would you give it less than premium? I use 91, and to be honest, I would still use 91 even if there were 92 and 93 here just because I want to save some money... maybe 93 once a month tho.

Either Shell Gold (91 pump oct) or Sunoco Ultra (94 pump oct and 10% ethanol) seem to give me the best mileage here in this vast frozen wasteland of the north.

In Toronto I couldn't find anything higher than 91. In NYC its 87 89 and 93. I always get 93, would that give better gas mileage?

Since you live in California BP sells under the ARCO flag.

BP bought ARCO and Amoco about 3-4 years ago.

BP is the second largest old company after Exxon.

Shell, BP, Exxon are now know as super major oil company and are in the top 10 of the world's largest companies.

I use 89 Mid grade mostly and 91 at Costco where they don't sell mid. I don't notice any difference in performance and no knocking at all. So I'm a moron, oh well.

I pump seven gallons of 93 octane then top off my tank w/89 octane - which is usually just under seven gallons if my gas light is on. Averages out to be a smidgen over 91 octane and saves me $.05/gallon. Yes I'm an engineer...

If it is what the manual and honda recommends then I'm using. Besides using cheap gas on our cars wouldn't be a good idea trust me.

Most of the time I use Premium Shell gas and my car runs superb. I switch to Mobil Super and it was sluggish so Shell Premium all the way!
