whats up i ordered red/clear tails from procarparts.com and my friend told me that the bulb housings arent going to fit up w/ the tail lights he said i had to get rubber washers so it would fit is this true?????? and if so its it hard to mod the bulb plastic housings

 

You need a diff wiring harness to fit perfectly. Or you can use your existing harness, just use duck tape to keep the bulbs in place

i heard that the ones from matrix and procarparts are a direct fit?

 

I have the 2002 oem tails and the harness is a little diff. Ijust played with it and got it to stay in place, I think I used a little electric tape, but not a big deal. Just get it in place and you should be fine with a little tape, you can not see tape from the outside.. good luck, you will love the upgrade!

 

If you bought it from procarparts, then these are the DEPO aftermarket tails. They are direct fit. You don't need anything else.

It is only the 02-03 TL OEM taillights which will need the wiring harness.
