Exclamation Red-alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all know that for 04 there will be something new, but how do we know it will have a better looking body. Better options is definate, but the body might be gay looking.

Would you guys recommened on waiting for the 04 or buying a 03 now!

Wait till the '04 comesout and if you don't like it buy a '03 TL-S. If the '04 has 280-300 HP I might consider having a engine swap.

Redliner,

Have you seen any of the posts concerning the Tranny issues ? I would wait as long as possible if I was buying an Acura to make sure that they resolve the tranny issue.

The new 2004 will probably be on the market within the next 6 months--if you like it, you can be one of the first to own one, and if you don't you can still pick up an '03 left-over at a great price. You can't lose if you wait the 5-6 months...

IMO If you wait you will see the 04 TL and see if it was worth getting and not regretting not getting it or satisfy yourself that at least you considered it.. It might be the best car for $35k right now or it might be ugly, whatever the case is JUST WAIT!

It will be in Car Shows in January..

One more thing is when the 2004 TL comes out the 2003 Type S will be selling dirt cheap I would think with navi for $30k..

So Advantages of Waiting:
Cheap 2003 Type-S
OR
Really Awesome New 2004 TL w/ Intelligent Cruise Control 300 HP Better Handling mp3 cd player and lot more things.. A LOT MORE!

not too sure about the engine swap idea snapple...sounds good in theory, but figure 3-5k just for an additional 20-40hp. you can get headers for under $400 that give you the same thing.

i say wait, as long as youre in no rush. a more realistic date for the car to be unveiled is probably next september or so, but if you can wait it out, go for it.

Well, as you can see by all of the conflicting information on this post, there is nothing set for the 2004 TL/TL-S. The only thing that seems to be consistant is that Acura is going back to it's fall release schedule which means the new TL will be out late summer/early fall, 2003. Information on the car however, should be released by Acura in early 2003, so at least within the next 3 months you should know... for a fact... what's going to happen.

For now I'm going to close this. If you do a search you will find many, many topics on the 2004 TL. Reading those will help you make a decision....
