Recall

I scheduled a check-up on my tranny for Jan 21st. Need to get that Oil jet kit installed and find out if this tranny is messed up. I could feel the slipping on it too. When they take the car what kind of rental cars do you usually end up getting? They did said they would give a loaner car.

it all depends on the dealer. most wont give a rental to any one under 25. mine has always asked me which i prefer (they use teh mdx, rsx, tsx, and tl for loaners)

some dealers may not be able to work on it right away....when we took in the CL, it was shortly after the recall came out, so they were slammed with TLs and CLs to fix. Our CL was in the shop for 3 weeks for the oil jet kit. They gave us an RSX.

If TX is like NC......NO rental car for you unless your parents get it then let you drive it........muahahaha sucks to be young!! In NC you have to be atleast 21 to rent a car.

when i used to drive my rsx, they would give me integras when i had to do some repairs and stuff. when i had to drop my TL last time for a catalytic convertor problem, they gave me a tsx as a loaner car. i was 16, 17 at the time when i had a rsx. and i had my tl since i was 18, which wasnt too long ago, but yeah, they still loaned me a car.

really?...an hour? I'm not sure about that. Is this jet kit internal or external? Couldn't have waited til the night before, the car wasn't driveable. That's the reason we needed the loaner. My gf's (01 CL) tranny was all messed up internally too. They replaced it or reman'd it and did the jetkit. I just had to ask her to refresh my memory. I guess that's why they took so long. But it's not like we were out a car or anything, plus I know the service manager, so it was probably one of those deals where he put me on the backburner because he knew I wasn't on his chops about it. Like I said, they were slammed. Actually, they were out of loaners and he pulled one off the lot for us. We had to take it back the next day when he got a loaner returned though.

well if you went in for the jet kit it shouldnt have taken more than acouple hrs. if they had to replace teh tranny it shouldnt have taken 3 weeks. i replaced mine in less thana day with out a manual telling me how to do it. and last time the dealer did it it took them 4 hours.
