Post rear spoiler?

Ok im looking into getting a oem spoiler from this site. I want to get it prepainted but i have some concerns:
1) I have had the car for about 7 months and i am worried that the color might have faded so that when i put the spoiler on it wont match. I live in Chicago if that helps.
2) How hard is it to install myself. I dont want to take it to a shop. I know you have to drill holes and i am worried that water might leak. Where do i drill the holes? Can any dumba$$ install this themselves?

Thanks

If the car is only 7 months old; I doubt you should have any concerns about matching the color. The install is easy; just do a search in this forum and you will find lots of information.

I agree. I know a guy with a TL that had his spoiler installed after about the same abount of time and it's still perfect.

Thumbs up

Also depends on the color. I had my OEM put on 14 months later on my red and it looked fine. Don't worry.

Doesn't your TL have clearcoat? With CC, fading is not a problem. BTW, let us know what you end up with, how the install goes, and how it looks. I'd like to do the same.
