rear slotted, front cross drilled....is it okay?

I just want to know if it is okay to have rear slotted discs and front cross drilled? Will it look okay? will it affect performance?

Should I do this setup?

I have rear slotted already, so I must make a decison b/t slotted and cross drilled for the front.

I'm not a big fan of cross-drilled rotors. they really serve no purpose other than shaving off mere ounces. Front rotors are usuallly ventilated well to begin with. I've heard they are more prone to cracking, but never saw that myself.

I do like slotted rotors and have them on my other car, the grooves let hot gasses between the pad and rotor escape easier. But they get dirt in the grooves easily. I'd go w/ slotted only. Ther'e probably cheaper also. The only good thing about cross-drilled rotors is that they look darn cool, but why spend money for cool looking brakes on a 4dr sedan? You can spend that money on rims or spoilers. (just my opinion, no flames from those who have cross-drilled brakes please, unless you have good proof how they are better )

The best brake upgrade is getting bigger rotors and pistons

You forgot the cheapest one of all--just better aftermarket pads...

But everything else is right on!

just what I think! I think I will take slotted because I think they look cool! Also, I have Carbon fiber brake pads.

Hopefully I can get some steel brake lines for a good price! That way, I can hit the street saving some innocent dogs/cats!

although with some of the posts on warped rotor's, getting a slotted that will vent better, may not be such a bad idea.

The braking on these is a weak point IMHO, especially on a rig w/ 4 wheel disc's.
