I have been struggling with this problem and searched everywhere for the answer and cant find it i hope some one here knows the secret.

okay Im trying to install rear courtesy lights on my 2003 TL. i got the thing wired up and everything problem is connecting it. I tried tapping into the door ajar button thing only problem is it lights up when the door closed and when the door opens it stays off.

I dont want to tap into the dome light as i want each light to turn on only when a certain light is open.

As there are no courtesy light for the rear doors which wire should i be using? or how do i have it go off using the door switch?

You Could try tap a hot wire and use the Door Switch (The one in the Chasis) as an off-Trigger? i dunno... Im installing Ambient lights this weekend but Ill use the dome light as the main power/Trigger
