Rear Blinker

I went to the FAQ page to find out which bulb I should buy for the rear blinker. So I bought a 1156. The damm thing doesn't fit. The tabs that stick out of the bulb to hold it in place dont line up. The stock bulb are closer together like 11 and 7 oclock but the generic bulb 1156 which are 12 and 6 oclock.

The chart says 02 TL-S and I have a 03 TL-S. Does anyone know if they are different.

Sounds like you got the right bulbs...you need to shave one of the nipples down some to install them. Don't worry, we've all done it.

What should I use to shave it down so it wont damage the bulb. If I do shave it down will the bulb still hold in place.

SlyTLS - Thanks for the advice. I just need a bit more..

Agreed... I checked a few sites and they all list 1156 as the rear blinker.

To shave it down you can use a Dremel or a nail file. I haven't done it yet... so maybe Sly can give more details

Don't shave it down completely...you can use a course sand paper just to shave it down enough for it to fit in the bulb socket. It will stay in place b/c the other nipple locks it in.
