Realists-what are the accepted performance numbers for 02/03 TL-Ss

Talking about bone-stock 02/03 TL-Type S numbers for an average car in good shape with a decent driver who knows what they're doing with a start that won't break the car...

From my searches and readings on here, it seems like the more "realists" amoung you would say 0 to 60 in about 6.7 seconds with a 1/4 mile time in low 16s. Top speed I have seen posted for around 140 up to 150+mph.

So, what would you guys say are the accepted numbers for:

Time - 0 to 60mph ????
Standing 1/4 mile run-time & speed reached????
Top Speed:?????
Lateral Gs...?????

Please-keep it real

ive hit 142 ish in my 99 tlp and i couldve kept pulling, this was at sea level in 79 degree weather with the windows closed. the speedo gets innacurate at high speeds so i dont know if i was actually at 142, i know my speedo is 4 mph fast at 65 im actually going 61.
i do 0-60 in 6.32 according to my friends dynolicious iphone.
dont remember the G's but im sure its not a 16 second car. should be around 15s

i have intake, headers, exhaust and some weight reduction

He was asking for TL-S performance specs, not TL-P specs.. there is a huge difference in performance from the Type S and base model. I should know, I've owned both a '99 TL-P and currently own a '03 TL-S.

Too break it down for you, a stock TL-S should run a 14.3 or somewhere around there. Also, a stock TL-S dynos at or around 205-210 (to the wheels)..

55hp loss? That seems like a lot. Do most cars loose as much from crank to wheels?

the hp that most are aware of (260) is just the motor and at its highest peak, so its not true wheel horse power. plus, it could be around 257, and they would bump it up to an even number like 260.

14.3 on a bone stock tl-s, no way! i ran a 14.95 twice with about an 1800rpm launch and vsa off. all i had was a drop in k&n filter. with a dry 65shop i ran a 14.31

the last time i dynoed my car i hit 292whp and 262wtq with a 100 dry shot, k&n air filter, dc sports headers, mid muffler removed, and intake manifold and throttle body spacer running lean, so with a tune im thinking about 305whp and 270wtq.

just with a comptech icebox, dc sports headers, mid muffler removed, im and tb spacers, no tune 230whp and 200wtq

I've seen a couple slips of ppl posting 14.3 on a good day and 14.5 - 14.7 usually.. under normal to good conditions. When'd you dyno your car? ..winter?

Rajca, you ran 14's BEFORE you had 292whp right?

Anyone ever just floor the car and see what the time was compared to a launch and SS?

people looking for low-mid 14's out of a stock TL-S are dreaming. My 2006 Si ran 14.7@96mph multiple times bone stock besides a short ram intake. We lined up our si and stock TL-S ...the Si walked it from 45mph to about 90mph.

Now, i would argue the TL-S being a bit quicker in the 0-60 department but that would not make up for its lack of mid-end grunt. It's a shame the TL-S didnt get a 6spd manual.

REALISTICALLY

1/4- 14.8-15.0 @ about 95mph

0-60 - 6.4-6.7sec

top speed - i thought autos were limited to 155....doubt itll go there though and not sure id want to find out

lateral g's - no idea

the TL-S is a great car for how much it weighs when you look at those 0-60 and 1/4 times.

Honda auto transmissions are known to suck up a lot of power.

-They dyno anywhere from 200-208hp at the wheels

-0-60 is a moot point in my book and I dunno the specs.

-Depending on elevation, tires, driver, weather they run 14.8-15.1 in the 1/4

-Top speed, I have seen youtube vids of the 02-03 at 140+ but never personally took it that fast.

They respond well to basic bolt on mods such as CAI/Headers/UR crank pully, TB and IM spacers. Exhaust is for sound as it's neglible gains on the TL-S.
