Post REAL CARBON FIBER FULL DASH KIT

HI everyone,

As you may have read, Rice has found a company that is willing to fabricate the stock factory wood pieces in to carbon fiber. I have emailed Tim, and he told me to post that he can het the full kit that is now offered on this site in carbon fiber!

If you are interested, post here and/or email Tim. He will do a group buy. I found a place that has 5 colors (black, blue, dark blue, red, and yellow), so Tim may be able to get all of those. If you like the look, you can have the full interior done now!

Good luck!

Oh hell ya! I've been searching for a while. Any pictures on how many pieces come in a kit? And how much does it cost?

Pictures, pictures, pictures, if you can. Sounds like a great alternative to the "bowling ball" black wood trim. I'm having a vision of an Aegenan Blue TL-S with the black carbon fiber. Somebody wake me up!

Question

Will that include replacements for the two console side trimand wood door trim pieces? Currently the aftermarket wood kits don't need to have those included for obvious reasons. If you want to go all CF, it's gonna look funny with both wood and CF side by side. Plus I bought the Acura OEM wood trim piece around the guages. So that could be another piece of the CF kit. Just my thoughts.

OK. I have no pics (sorry). The kit will be the 26 pieces that you can get as the wood match. There will be NO factory replacements with this kit. HOWEVER, Rice has posted about a company he is sending his door pieces to (and the side console pieces couls also be done) to have them fabricate them in CF. He will post pics of those when he is done, and then you can make a decision. Snook will group buy the kits once everyone is ready. Good luck.

I have no idea how much. Tim may know later when he has an idea on the group buy. Ask Rice how much once he gets the pieces back.

I don't know too much cuz I am not doing it. I prefer the wood. I am just looking out for you guys.

I'm interested in putting carbon fiber only on my side console pieces. I just hope it looks like the real CF. Please keep me informed though.

carbon fiber is ricey??? that's kind of funny, considering all the exotics on road course and their body is made out of carbon fiber.

wood <-> luxury cars
carbon fiber <-> performance cars

but consider TL as a luxury/performance car, we should keep the wood and add some carbon fiber

carbon fibre is ugly, the pattern is just retarded looking. I'd prefer a really nice brushed aluminum for a sporty look, but I doubt it would look nice in the TL. The wood trim is great looking IMO, especially with the burlwood knob.

I've seen a carbon fiber trim in an Accord, the interior is similar to a TL and it looked pretty cool, nothing great. Didn't look bad, but I do think it added like 5 hp.

If anyone knows how or where to get a dash display like the Volks Wagons please tell me.

I'm interested in door panels only - Is that possible.

Already did the CF dash inserts and repainted wood console with nickel finish to match shift gate trim.... looks pretty good.

Let me know if I can purchase door panel trim alone -

They will include the same pieces as the wood trim kit, and be the same price one at a time
I can do a group buy on them, if there is enough interest...

Rice, so.... how did it go?

Tell me you havent been riding round without your trim pieces for a month now

Post some pics... but more importantly let us know the name of the company.

Us CL-S & TL-S'ers will need this to replace our bowling ball trim
