Rattling...
Hey,
Have a question...
there is this rattling sound which i think is coming from the right side of the car. From what i heard, the sound usually comes if there was an accident and the door was hit...the car has only 15k on it, there were no remarks about an accident in the carfax, so does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Right side???? can you be more specific.....
Carfax will not show all acidents specially if they are not through the insurance and they have a police report.
Carfax is so bad that I have 2 accidents with police reports that don't show in carfax.

Like..right side of the door, i cant exectly figure out where it's coming from...It sounds like there is something inside the door, rattling around, very annoying. Thanx for the help.

From all the rattles I had that is not one of them. The best advice I could give you is that taking the door panel is not hard at all. Do that and check if not then you know is somewhere else.

you can use carfax merely as a guide in your purchase. If you want to be completely sure you can always borrow the car from the dealership for 24 hours in which you can get it second opinion from both auto repair and body shop.

Well, its a little to late, because i had the car for about a month now, but before this one i had a 99 pearl green tl and i never had a problem with door rattling...
Anyway- I finally got a chance to wash the car after a trip from NY, it was covered in little bugs and tar...took forever to get off! Then i found a pretty big chip on the hood of the car...it's pretty noticeble, does anyone know where i can get some touch up paint, and for about how much?

You'd be surprised - sometimes the simplest things cause rattles. I had a noise coming from the right side too - turns out the passenger side seat belt buckle was 'rattling' against the door pillar. Problem solved! Sometimes my sunglasses in the sunglass holder makes a rattle. I'm sure you have read about the sunroof visor making a noise when in the open position. Just a thought.
