Unhappy Rattle in Dash

Just bought a pre-owned 2002 Acura TL Type S and I'm loving it - the horsepower is incredible! I have noticed a rattle in the dash near the passenger side...almost sounds like a pinging.

Anyone have this problem?

Any ideas on what it might be and how I can eliminate it?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I've had the same problem, I only have 900 or so miles on m 03 TLS but it rattles behind the odometer. It's very annoying especially when I'm not listening to my music to drown it out. I noticed it after I stepped on it the first few days of ownership. I just figured I'd wait till I get my first oil change have this fix or tape down whatever it is. I'll let you know what I find out.

I'm sure it would be worse if we were driving (I will call no brands out) something else. It happens, I love my ride. Nothing like it.

I had a rattle in the dash on the passenger side. Drove me nuts. Very hard to locate when you're driving also. Turns out to be the glove box. If you''re facing the glovebox the area at the left corner was the culprit. The dash box inside knocks against the back of the plastic dash in front on it. I dropped the glove box down and taped a piece of cardboard between the two. Now when the dash closes it wedges the cardboard in and the rattle is gone.

That's funny I've got a strange noise coming from my dash also. We'll somewhere around that area. It sounds like a gumball rolling around on the flat spots in the ventilation sys. When I punch the gas I hear somethig, "rolling around." I have kids, so I guess I'll blam them instead of Acura
