Exclamation Random revving and shifting...

Has anyone else had a problem w/ random shifting/revving in their TL-S? Or maybe slipping of the transmission?

It seems from day one, every once in awhile, my TL-S would briefly down shift for no reason. The strange thing was, it would almost always do it about a mile from my house when leaving for work in the morning. Then, a couple of weeks ago, the VSA warning light and Check Engine light came on. Not long after that, the shifting/revving got very, very bad and it seemed more like the tranny was slipping. I took it to Park Acura (happened to be in the area) and they cleared all the codes for the VSA and Engine and said it needed a new speed sensor but that it was ok to drive back to VA. I took it to my dealer, Duncan Acura in Roanoke, and they said Park hadn't cleared the code for the transmission, which would have told them no speed sensor was needed. So I asked if nothing was malfunctioning or needed replacing, what the hell was wrong and was causing all the problems?! They really didn't have an answer for this. I asked if it could have been related to the water leak I had coming in from behind the driver's side of the dash which I was also having fixed at that time. The service mgr told me that all the wiring was designed to be water proof so that would cause a problem. Hmmm, I think the car was designed to be waterproof too but I certainly had a leak in it so what does that mean for the wiring?

My Type-S tends to lurch forward slightly when the car is stopped and the transmission is engaged. The effect is most pronounced when the air conditioning is running.
