Raised Headlights

Wow what a diffrence before i could not even see ahead of me, now after raising my headlights i see all over the place

i have 8500k bulbs

i am going to get matching fogs and raise them just a little

Why does Acura ship there cars with the headlights so low?

No it's because you put in 8500K bulbs man. The higher the Kelvin the less light you actually spread accross the road, but your lights will be "brighter"

If you put back 4000k stocks or even 6000k bulbs you'll notice a HUGE difference of light emited onto the road infront of you. The bulbs you have in that are 8500K are for looks, not visability.

Acura had the lights where they should be with the lights that produce the most useable light. The 8500k bulb isnt good for useable light, just color

exactly, and in my post above, I have a typo, the word should be Kelvin, not Kelver.

8500k are less bright than stock 4100k - that's a fact, not anyone's opinion.

And raising your headlights means you are blinding other people.

well, what year TL do you have?

b/c mine is a 2000, meaning it was built in '99, so the bulbs are at least/close to 6 yrs old now. and i can tell it's not as bright as when i first bought it. so i'll be changing them soon, however i'm going no further than 6000k.

however, you have NEW 8500k. so maybe that explains why you think they are brighter. but anyways, i think in a couple of years, you will see that light will get a little (just a little) dimmer as they go on compared to a stock 4300k. then you will see they aren't as bright.

It's because the 99-01 TLs have diffuser headlights. The bulb is hidden behind the diffuser, which creates the beam pattern.

In 02-03s the headlight lense is clear and has a jeweled reflector, which looks better and more befitting of a luxury car IMO.

Its mostly because of the difuser that the 99-01 has
