rain x anti-fog

anyone used it before? i'm looking for something that'll stop my windshield from fogging up whenever it rains and without having to turn on the a/c. just wondering if it really works.

It works OK but really there is no substitute for turning on the AC for a few minutes to dry out the air. The RainX just makes it harder for the moisture to adhere to the glass but if it is bad enough, there will be fog NEway.

It works, but for very long. It also leaves a resadue on the window. Not worth the hassle.
My son`s car doesn`t have AC, So I used it on the windows. Seemed to last about a week, then you have to reapilly.

make sure you have the switch on the heater controls to outside air and not recirculate. and when you turn the defrost on the ac is supposed to come on. it dries the air so that doesnt happen

i have used it and it lasted a long time. I noticed that regular wiper blades are eaten away by the chemicles, but when i put silicone blades on, it worked fine, and did not eat them away.

bigman he is talking about the Rain X anti fog stuff that goes on the inside windows to prevent inside fogging. This is not the outside Rain X . I would not use it on the anti fog on the TL just use the A/C in the warm range to clear your windows of fog.
Turn A/C to warm range not on recirculate mode & set to higher fan speed untill windows are clear. Now the outside Rain X is good also to make water repel off the outside windows. It works great at higher speeds. I use the Rain X washer fluid all the time they have the green bug wash stuff for spring & summer & the orange De icer fluid for colder winter months.

it seems with every car i've owned when it rains in cold weather it's inevitable that the inside windows will fog up. a/c clears it up fast but i don't necessarily want it on all the time. i'll turn it off and just run the fan but after a minute the fog comes back and i have to turn the a/c back on again. so just to confirm, to eliminate fogging i should first turn on warm a/c and then once cleared turn off a/c and set warm fan on high speed? and all of this in the outside air mode (non-recirculation)?

I didn’t know that rain-x can f...up my blades. i was wondering today why it was making that noise and skipping at bottom...
I put 2 coats this Sunday.
I guess I’ll just use it on sides but not on front windshield .

Yep just use your A/C in the warmer range & set the temp & fan speed to your comfort. Your cars A/C is not just for cooling your car only. This is why they call it climate control system it de humidifies as well as cools the car. You can keep the fan spped to the lower settings after the inside fogging has gone & adjust your temp to your comfort level.

if you ever notice that when you hit your defrost button the ac comes on? its supposed to come on when you turn it on. its designed to, thats what will help dry the air to remove the moisture causing the fogging. that and make sure the recirculate button is off. as for the temp what ever is comfortable, fog usually means its getting cooler out so warmer air is ok

is it just rain x that will eat away your wiper blades or is it ALL rain repellents like Rain Away, Castrol Superclean, STP Visionblade or even that Aquapel coating you can get from Ziebart?
