Radio Removal

I have to slide my radio out to get the serial number.

I have tried the DIY, but it redirects to this.

Can someone help me out? I don't want to break any plastic.. pin things trying to figure it out on my own.

Can you replace the link in the DIY?

I'm sure it will be appreciated by me and many others to follow.

NOO you dont have to go that far, the serial number is on the right side of the bezel you see the video posted by fsttyms1 the sticker with the serial # is to the right of the Acura emblem.

I found that out when I called them for my code and I was surprised to have missed it since I took it apart so many times.

^ mission accomplished. You can just pop the right hand "wood" piece off w/ a electrical taped screw driver. The code is right there.

The nav system is a bit more involved, but not much.

Get in your trunk, there is a rear bolt and 3 (4?) plugs to detach. You may be able to do this by feel, but it seemed easier to lay in the trunk for it.

Take the other two 10mm's out that you can see when you pop the trunk. Then it pulls out.

You now have 4 screws, and a pretty tight fitting assembly. Your serial code is on the underside of the DVD... thing.

Call Acura, give them the VIN of the car, serial of the DVD, and your blood type and sexual preference.. and they will give you the code.

Glad it helped,They also did that to me I felt like I was in an interview for a job lol for the navi I just unscrewed 4 screw that hold it came right out. Although they didn't give the code for the navi I ended up using a rouge method to put my own code.

The Acura guy I talked to (twice) was actually pretty helpful.

Care to elaborate on the "rogue method"?

That would defeat the purpose of removing the battery.

You can do this without removing the battery cables.

Please elaborate.

I was looking to disconnect the battery so that i could access the engine compartment below it.

I have radio and nav codes now.
