radio code not working

while cleaning my intake manifold, i disconnected the battery. and now it wants a radio code which i have 34514 that worked before but now it does not take it. i tried 8 times and its reports back err 1 err 2 ... etc. so i disconnected fuse 9 and tried again. still it does not take my radio code. please help... my holding 1 an 6 and power on shows my s/n as U3000 L0475. so it should be s/n 30000475 and little white sticker AA0475. please help. do i need to disconnect antenna?

I've NEVER heard of having to disconnect the antenna to get the code working.

This is a new one to me!

not sure but when i spoke to them they said it somehow caused the security feature to malfunction. either way pulling the antenna and entering the code does resolve the problem
