Radiator fan not coming on
alright, so my passenger side radiator fan isn't coming on. Its no biggie when driving, but on idle at lights in LA heat, the engine temp climbs so I have to shut her down at lights on hot days. The driver's side fan comes on fine. I checked the fuses and the relays marked "condensor fan" and "cooling fan" in the engine fusebox, and all are good. The fan itself is good cuz I swapped the connectors between the passenger and driver's side fans.
Anyone know what temp sensor, if any, triggers the passenger fan? I know they're on different circuits since they have different color wires going into each connector. thanx!

The driver side fan is the radiator cooling fan and is temp regulated
The Passenger side one is for the Air Conditioning
and should come on when you select front defrost or manually turn on A/C
The compressor kicks in and the fan should come on
Turning OFF your car when it gets hot is not the right thing to do
non flowing coolant just gets hotter
You could have a water pump problem or radiator plugged or bad cap
Odd, but stranger things have happened

thanx for the advice guys. the passenger side fan is coming on after I played with the fuse and relay. I'll just keep an eye on it since temp seems to be alright even when idling.
