Unhappy Radiator

Hey guys,
I have a 2000 TL with 30,000 miles on it. I noticed the car was low on coolant the other day and had the dealer do a pressure test on the cooling system. Acura told me that I have a broken radiator that the warranty will not cover. Supposedly the crack is from a rock or something that hit it. Should I replace the radiator with a new one or just have the old one repaired?

I had similar situation before on my then 92 Accord. I went around some radiator shops and dealer asking to fix it. Their reply was since it's plastic, it hard to fix. Even if it's fixed it won't last like metal radiator. Of course, you can buy after market replacement for a cheaper price from places like Kragen or Pepboys. Your call.

As it turns out, my radiator has a bad gasket. Acura will replace it with a new radiator under warranty. It is sad that I had to manke three trips to the dealer to accomplish this.

Thanks for the advise.
