radartest.com

Has anyone checked out radartest.com website? It supposedly provides unbiased reviews of radar detectors. It is interested the there are a couple of radar detectors that rate the same or higher than the V1.

Does anyone know if it is really a non-profit unbiased review?

I believe the founder of the web site used to work for Bel/Escort. Try www.speedzones.com for a better test.

Don't trust that site; Car and Driver did a comprehensive review and rated the V1 well above the competition for detection.

Yes, but also remember Patrick Bedard (one of C&D's long-time writers and staff) is on the board of directors for Valentine Research, Inc., so you can't say they are 100% unbiased. He even wrote a book called "Expert Driving" and guess who the publisher was? Yep, Valentine Research. Don't get me wrong--I've subscribed to C&D for 17 years and read each issue cover to cover. Just take their tests with the same grain of salt as you do the ones for radartest.com.

Valentine1.com has a full report on radartest.com, and why the guy at radartest hates the V1, i guess theres something personal going on there. No matter how you twist it, it all comes doen to the Escort or the V1. I have a V1, ive had the Escort, i was not impressed with it.

I first subscribed to C&D in 1967 and I can tell you BMWs and Valentine will win any comparison test they ever have!

I bet because, I just saw a BMW 5 Series commercial, and they were all bragging how a Experienced Magazine like C&D has named there 5 series the Ultimate Machine or something to that effect, the whole commercial just showed the car and Talked about how Big of a award that is from C&D..
