I went down to Ventura/ Santa Barbara the other day. I meet up with my friend and he asked me to race him. He has a few mods in his car and its stick. So we went on the freeway to mess around. From 45 to 85 he was pulling on me!!! I didnt believe it! i was shocked. When i hit 85 i started catching up and i was able to get to his front windshield at 110. he doubled clutched i know he did because he told me and i also had 3 other people in the car with all of our stuff in there. what do you guys think? is my tl just slow? his mods helped him out alot or was it just all the extra weight in my car? im 200 lbs my gf 130 her bro 225 and her cuz thats a cow at 250. and our clothes and stuff in the trunk. if we were to line up again just him and i would i win with easse?

 

if we were talking about 50 lbs...then no your car would be far slower then his...but you are talking about like 700 lbs...that's a **** load of weight. If you remove everything from your car, and you were to be the only one driving, my guess is you would have smoked by him as you should have been able too....but now that you mention all the extra weight you had to carry, I understand why the car was so slow. Next time, split the weight up. Maybe ask the brother of you g/f and the cousin to go in his car to make it fair, and you pull your girl and the luggage. That should even things out.

 

I wouldn't say you would win with ease, but with an extra 600-plus lbs and whatever esle you have in the trunk, there is no wonder why you didn't win. By the way, what's your gf's cousins number? I love fat girls. Hehe!

your tl aint slow, you just had way too much weight in it. and his mods don't help you. 1st of all lose some weight (haha j/k), ditch all your passengers and all your stuff in the car, have a 1/4 or less tank of gas, turn off a/c and VSA/TCS (whichever model you have) and for sure you'll smoke your buddy's @ss. or maybe you can hook up your gf's cuz with your friend and that'll make things more even! haha

 

Damn with all that weight, he probably could've beaten you going in reverse.

Trust me, a 325 is no problem for a TL.

Ah, I see. I think 325i comes with what, 180 hp?? But BMW horses seem to run harder than others'. TL's also a big bigger and heavier, so the outcome of the race sounds about right.
