Raced an '01 CL-S...what a time!!!

I raced against a CL-S. Met a guy in a plaza who had his car lowered and had a filter in it. Anyways, he agreed to race, so we pulled onto a side street and we raced up until about 170 km/h. He was able to take me off the line, but I was clearly a better gate shifter then him, and I pulled in front of him at about 110 km/h. We raced up until 170 km/h and sustained our speed there, I switched into SS mode where I left the car in 3rd revving at around 4900 RPM. Then he guns it again, but little does he know, he left the car in Auto shift, and the car was in 4th gear (which we all know has no power). So I see him pulling very slowly, I redlined in 3rd gear going 175 km/h and then geared to 4th. I had much more momentum then him, and therefore was able to pull to about 210 km/h with him about 4-5 car lengths behind. Then we pulled over and had a friendly chat about how I was able to beat him.

BTW I had the A/C off, and VSA on....

what a sweet run!!! He was an excellent driver btw...

good kill!

but an "excellent" driver should beat you. you have a TL-S rite? cuz the CL-S is lighter i think and it has the same engine/tranny... but that's if u are not modded...

I believe the CL-S came out in 01 while the TL-S came out in 02.
