raced a 01-03 maxima

Dont know what type it was but it was a maxima.. From 01-03 models. I dont know but ever since i put a CAI i have had many challenges. anyways

I was going to make a right to get onto rt. 50 going west and as i was about to acclerate a maxima was making a u-turn which made me break so hard.. f**ker..!!! once he went on i made the right and floored it not putting it in ss mode.. Thought i try this way.. He also floored it but i was afraid to floor more know how rt 50.. LOts of cops.... but i didnt see any insight so i continue to floor it. HE did too. HE was stock. HE was already ahead of me cause since he made that u-turn and then i went. I was gaining on him till about 65-70mph. He wasnt no challenge.. THen i passed him really fast... I think he gave up.

So far i raced 99-01Prelude
2004 TL
00-03 Maxima

In 2 weeks.... Image if i get headers....

CAI isn't that great. It's all in your head. Plus not everyone is trying to race you, some people are just in a hurry.

It makes a big difference on what year of Maxima you raced. From '00-'03, they had the same body style minus different tails, headlights, wheels. But, they had different engines. From '00-'01, they had 222 hp, except for the 25th aniv. edition, which had a slight increase in '01. In '02, they had 260 hp.

Actually the '02 and '03 Maximas had 255hp with 246 ft-lbs. of torque. With the '02-03 Maximas versus the '02-03 TL-S's it seems like a toss up with some people saying the Maxima always wins while others say the TL-S always wins. My experience has been that my TL-S has been able to walk away from the '02-03 Maximas (4AT). Just yesterday on the Toll Road I easily walked away from an Infiniti I35 (Maxima clone), but with my mods its probably expected.

To be honest, I always found maximas wanting to race me in my TL-S and now 04 TL. I think they finally see someone young in a TL instead of an old lady and hence try to instigate you to race.

Personally, I have never lost to a maxima yet. I beat both a 95 5-speed w/y-pipe/i/e and a 2002 Maxima auto.

Thanks for the correction, I thought I might be slightly off.

Your right its a drivers race stock has been proven a many times here and at the org. and those that say they walked one of the other stock for stock is full of B.S. Max has advantage down low/mid, TLS up high and BTW the I35 is a tad slower than 02/03 Maximas as it has couple hundred pounds of extra weight to carry around.

Most likely it was a 00/01, the 00/01 is like night and day vs the 02/03 Maxima.

Those are two different years. The one on top is a 02-03 with the clear tails and chrome ring around the tails.. It has more of an "Altezza" / IS300 look.

The bottom one is the 2000-2001 model (I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong). With the blacked out instead of clear portion.

The 2000-2001 models had something like 220hp or so (cant remember off the top of my head exactly and im too lazy to look it up again) while the 2002-2003 like I said above had 255hp.
