i was wondering if anyone has raced a GTI i have a friend that wants me to race his friend that has a GTI, he said he beat a TL and im pretty sure he hasnt really modded it yet. I have a 2000TL with intake and exhaust.

 

Sounds like a friendly race so go ahead and let us know. You win some, you lose some so go ahead and be careful.

BTW, don't know much about the GTI but I am pretty sure we can beat it.

GTi 5 spd with 180hp is hard to beat...

same goes to the newer VR6... 225 HP 6spd...

The TL is a little faster when both cars are stock but with intake and exhaust you should smoke him.

the GTI is in high 6s...pretty fast off the line

but we can pull away at mid-range as the GTI has only 1.8liter...it's all about displacement...even they ahve turbo

u can notice power goes out quickly at high rpm...while we don't...
