Exclamation Race Concept Rotors??

Hey fellas, I want to know who got in on the RACE CONCEPT ROTOR GROUP BUY last year and what your thoughts were about the rotors?

Warping issues?
Did your Zinc coating hold up?
Did your braking improve with the slotted, cross drilled or dimpled rotors?

Fill me in... A bunch of need this info over on the CL board to see if this is worth our time and money..

here is the thread:http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...5&pagenumber=1

Thanks in advance
Smitty

hey smitty, the group buy happened on the other board....there were two known cases, mr. hyde and i forget the other person, where rusting was a huge issue. I have had the race concept rotors for about 2000miles now and I have no problems. Apparently, the problem occurred with the first batch of rotors, but was fixed afterwards.

not sure if it was this site (maybe the other one ) but i bought all 4, slotted and dimpled. nothing is wrong with them in regards to finish (just normal weat) and the car stops well. the only problem is a slight "whistling" noise (kinda like a baseball card stuck through the spokes on a bicycle) that sometimes occurs while driving. no noise when you first startup and drive the car though.

I seriously hate that sound. I think that might be the only reason I regret getting the rotors. Imagine the people that hear it when your driving down the street. They're probably thinking wth is wrong with that car. Otherwise theyre not bad.

Thanks fellas... Everyone over on the CL board thinks that they will have issues with these rotors since Hyde posted some pretty disturbing pictures.. I basically wanted to know if you guys had the same problems as he did or if there were WARPING issues..
That seems to be everyones big concern since the OEM rotors and pads have issues.

Thanks again
Smitty
