I wouldnt get a cold air, but I live in Colorado too, so snow and massive puddles are an obvious problem

puddles can't get no higher than 5 inches so its definitely not a problem.

^ plus you have all these plastic guard pieces underneath your car.. a little splashy splash won't hurt it

no way in hell you gonna hydrolock unless you get the filter fully submerged underwater which is like.. 2-3 feet of water..

I will be very honest with you man...the difference between CAI and SRI i think is only a personal preference. Unless you get a V2, a CAI will give you more noticeable low end torque, and an SRI gives you more high end torque. Only a V2 will give you both. The temperature differences are not big enough to effect performance that much, therefore id rather have the high end torque and throttle response you get with short ram.

oh and btw.. i think you got it backwards...

SRI gives more lower end power and also a quicker throttle response due to its shorter length on the pipe.

but a CAI give more high end due to it drawing colder air which is denser and has the air molecules held closer together.

hehehe , just take out the intake resonator and everything below that. It leaves you and big empty space under the SHORT RAM you having. Well almost like CAI but this is homemade Cai lol

Dont really understand why you "schooled" me about the throttle response with an SRI, cause its kinda a little bit like the same exact thing i said. As for the high end vs low end stuff, i think im gonna listen to my mechanic before i listen to you, rraajaashhhaa the scientist, or watever your name is. Ill start calling you mr.molecules or somethin

All im sayin is theres good and bad things about both, and yes generally a CAI is better, but there is different advantages for both. Agree?

never said i "schooled" you.. that was illmat1k.. no need for you to be immature and reply to me in an immature way.

and i'm no scientist.. search up and read around and you'll see what i say is true in mostly all cars. if youre mechanic stated that SRI is better for so and so. go ahead and listen to your educated mechanic who seems to kno all over me who just researches on both parts for their advantages.....

Immature? MY bad bro...my mechanic never said it was better thats for damn sure, he was simply silencing the people like you who think that a CAI is SOOOO much better than short ram...thats it man. By the way, this is the most retarded argument ever...completely un-necessary

okay kids, calm down. no need to fight over something like this. The argument is academic and preferential. I don't like severed heads in a friendly forum. and tlslvt, it wasnt jashaa that started it, so dont blame him.
