Are 2003 Accord V6's having similar transmission problems as some of the unlucky TL-S's????????????????

My g/f has a 1 week old 03 LX V6 accord and is feeling/hearing a thumping/clunking between gears 1 and 2. This will happen only for a couple of miles, then it appears to disappear.

 

Honestly, I have heard anything like that. But you never know. The 03' is packing 240hp and I don't know how much torque. Given Honda's track record recently with transmission failures It wouldn't hurt to take it into the dealer for a check up.

Transmissions simply are not supposed to thunp and clunk when they are working properly.
