Folks,
I searched but did not see what I was looking for.

I purchased Acura Care Extended Warranty (5 Years or 100,000 miles) for my 2002 TL-S a year after I purchased my TL. The question is when does the extended warraty expire? Does it expire based on the date I purchase the car or based on the day I purchase the warranty?

The 2002 TL-S was bought brand new in Feb., 2002 and currently has close to 80k miles on the odometer.

Please advice.

Did you buy the extended warranty when you purchased the car? If so, then it already expired already.

Like my mentioned on my first post. I bought the extended warranty about a year after I bought the car. Looks like I am SOL but I just want to verify.

Just read the contract, everything is contained therein

Any warranty purchased from Acura is based on the original purchase date of the car when brand new, it does not start over when purchased used.
I have purchased 2 extended warranty's, a 7-yr 75k on my 99TL and a 7-yr 100k on my 02 type-s, and both were based on original date of purchase.
Are you sure it was a 5-yr? I only saw the 7-yr option for my 02. Mine's on 90k, I will never see the 7 years.
