Quick question about drip rails on my roof....

Is it even possible to remove the drip rails on the roof of my 03 TL-S? (And put them back on? Roof Wrap)

Also, since i'm doing a roof wrap here, how hard is it to remove the gps antenna? Or should I just CAREFULLY trim around it?

Hey D4als, yes it's possible to remove the roof's trim rails.

However, ya must be very careful in doing so. There are retaining brackets located near the bottom ends of the molding, which help secure the trim to the recessed channels of the roof. Ya use something like a flat screwdriver to pry up on the trim near the end, then pull up and slide the trim to release it's bracket from the mounting pin within the roof's channel. Do this at both ends to free up the molding for removal. Ya gotta watch where it joins the window trim moldings. Getting it off will prove easier than re-installing. But it can be done with patience and some finesse.

Are you talking about the rubber strips on the roof? Or the chrome strip above the door edge. The roof strip just pulls up and at one end it slides into a little nub

Didn't take off the drip rails, but it turned out pretty darn good. Couple ripples but as each day goes by the sun heats it up and they disappear one by one, only like two left now. Hang on ill post some pictures.
