Quick Question about the cat...

Does the 99 Accord and the 99Tl have the same cat?

If not does it as least have the same size gasket between the header downpipe and the cat?

I would assume it does because the aftermarket headers are interchangeable on the two models..

So if the aftermarket headers are interchangeable between the accord and the TL, then that would lead me to believe that the gasket between the stock cat and the aftermarket headers is the same size. So all the gaskets (from header to cat) on the stock accord, stock TL and aftermarket headers for either car should be the same size.

Am I correct?

The reason I'm asking is, I'm going out today to grab a gasket... Crappy Tire doesn't carry the TL gasket, but they carry the 99 Accord gasket...

any info would be appreciated.

Since the headers between the AV6 and the TL are interchangeable you shouldnt have a problem with the gaskets. Im surprised that crappy tire actually has something in stock. Normally the most you will find there is a whole bunch of ricer shit.

I take it you are installing the headers today???? If so be sure to let us all know how it turns out!

yes the gasket should work, your header opinion makes sense.
i wouln't know about an aftermarket free flow cat...IF they are the same lengh and straight then they are interchangable as well
