quick question: about brakes...
does any ones brake pedal if you push on it hard enough, can it touch the floor. if i really push on mine it will touch the floor or a stop can't really tell. just wondering if this is the way it is or if i have a problem.
all the other cars i have driven audi's, fords, w/e you can think of i have never had that happen.

Most likely not, unless the problem lies with the brake booster.
Sounds to me like you're not getting enough pressure in the lines. That could either be from air or water getting into the lines, or the booster is leaking, or the master cylinder is leaking.

Had the same problem in my Accord. I ended up having to replace the master brake cylinder. $60.00 at Napa for a new one. Bled the brakes and then everything was ok. My pedal would go to the floor because of the master brake cylinder. I would get it checked out soon.

Get it checked ASAP! I had a brake line pop once ... no fun.

I have a similar problem, but it's not due to the master cylinder needing replacement. I recently had new front and rear brakes put on, but continued to have to push far down on the peddle to stop the car. The mechanic who did the brake job said Hondas and Acuras are known for lousy brake & clutch design and said part of the problem is the pad design. I talked to some other "car" people, and they said it sounds like a modulation problem and the fix for that is replacing the rubber brakethe lines with steel braided ones. In speaking with dealership, the service guy said that doing this should significantly improve the braking performance and that they've had a lot of people coming in lately to have it done (Gee, I could never guess why!). I've posted an inquiry to see if anyone else has tried this change-out and met with good results. This might not be the cause of your problem, but thought I'd throw it out as another option for you to conisder.
