Cool Quick decision

Well, it's that time again...got to go visit the inlaws. Out of state. Round trip will add another 1000 miles to the 'ol TL - S. Only had it for 3 months and she's already pushing 6000 miles. Here's the question...Do we take the wife's car? Cavalier - nicely equiped....or do we add another 1K for another w-end to see 10,000 lakes??

What would you do??

If it's not a lease, and you don't have carsick kids, take the TL-S!

Take the Cavalier for three reasons:

1) You'll appreciate the TL-S a hell of a lot more after you get back. It'll seem like a rocket. (Now we're gunna get trolls from NASA saying that TL-S doesn't even compare to a rocket :p)

2) Avoid all those potential paint chips from trucks on the interstate, as well as bugs.

3) Figure you'll need an oil change as soon as you get back (around the time you get back)...

Take the "S"..Take the "S"..Take the "S"

Don't baby her too much. Take the "S" its made to be driven not stocked away. I would rather be cruising long distances in my TLS than a Cavalier.

IMO, since you already have a lot of miles on your TL-S, I would take the Cavalier. That's what beat up cars are for.
For example, when I took my wife to Canada for New Year's, I rented a POS Malibu. I could have took my TL but it has too many miles on it already. And I did appreciate my TL more when I got back.
